Garden of Things
Although our website is live and our social pages are getting set up we are still in a bit of stealth mode what your seeing now is somewhere between beta and a proof of concept.
Garden of things is a platform that helps you keep up to date on a collection of topics each with their own “garden”. We draw content from multiple sources and present them to you in clean and easy to use interface that is customised for each garden.
Rather than starting with algorithmic feeds we plan to leverage human curated feeds and use that as our primary foundation. In the future we plan to use the more modern techniques to finesse and personalise gardens depending on the viewer whilst respecting our users valuable time and privacy.
We know your time is valuable to you that is why each garden is walled - meaning separated, allowing you to focus on the topics that matter to you rather than wasting time scrolling an endless feed that is trying to tempt you with different topics.
We respect user privacy by maximising the amount of computation done on the users end which minimises the need for user behaviour data to be sent back to our servers.
So a glorified RSS feed?
Yes and no there are many similarities, but we have future plans which once implemented will make the difference a lot more apparent – stay tuned, there is more to come.
